A new generation of RK3566 products: performance ushered in a substantial improvement

RK3568 is a new generation chip product of Rockchip. The chip adopts 22nm process technology, has four cores, and the main frequency is up to 1.8GHz. The chip has built-in GPU, VPU and NPU. Compared with the previous generation of products, the newly added NPU makes RK3566 more suitable for use in the fields of AI computing and edge computing, and can be expanded to more abundant application scenarios.

At present, the LQ3568-PC open source motherboard and core board based on RK3568 have been launched. Compared with the previous generation of products, RK3568, in addition to upgrading the CPU, also brings several heavyweight upgrades in product design:

1. The memory adopts LPDDR4/4X, and the maximum support 8GB large memory

2. Support access to SSD high-speed hard disk; and increase SPI Flash

3. Upgrade to 2.4GHz/5GHz dual-band WiFi

4. Added 8M ISP signal processing and added onboard MIPI-CSI interface

5. Added MIPI-DSI interface, supporting 1920*1080@60Hz
